My Journey

I am not perfect and I don't know everything.  However, I am trying my best and learning more everyday!  Here is my journey to getting fit and being healthy!  

 

 

3 Day Refresh

     Since becoming a Beachbody Coach, I have done the 3 Day Refresh several times.  The first time that I did it I lost 5 pounds and kept that weight off.  I was shocked myself when the weight did not come right back on.  Of course, I continued to eat smart and follow the 21 Day Fix meal plan.  A year and a have later, I wanted to start my 2017 off right and do another round of the 3 Day Refresh.  It was really easy this time because I was doing it with my husband.  Having a partner while doing something makes a huge difference with me.  Everything is a mental game for me!

     After doing the 3 Day Refresh the first time, I thought the program was easy to complete.  I loved how I actually got to eat food with this cleanse.  My plan to do the 3 Day Refresh 2 times a year.  I complete it at the beginning of the year and after my birthday in July!

After having 3 kids in 3 years, the journey began!

I grew up an athlete.  I was active!  I played soccer almost daily.  I didn't eat correctly but I was young.  I didn't gain tons of weight because of this fact.  Then, I graduated high school! The active lifestyle stopped.  I think I gained the Freshman 15 before I even went to college.  I believe I gained about 30 pounds during my freshman year of college.  Those 30 pounds stuck around for a long time!

I started walking more my senior year of college.  I lost a little weight but I was all wrong with my nutrition.  After moving to Austin, I joined a gym and even signed up with a personal trainer.  I didn't see result because my mindset around food was off.  I thought it was ok to stop by Whataburger on the way home from the gym.  I didn't like to cook or really know how to cook so I ate a lot of fast food.

I took this picture just a month later! My smile says it all.  I was happy.  I was proud of myself.  I showed myself that I could follow through and accomplish something.  I showed myself what "healthy" felt like.  I was determined to keep that feeling.  I loved it so much that I signed on as a coach so I could pay it forward.  I wanted to help other people feel as awesome as I felt!

I continued with the programs!  

I love being a Beachbody Coach because it helps my keep myself healthy while I help other people get healthy.

I like to look back on my pictures from college!  It reminds me what I felt and looked like when I did not make health and fitness a priority in my life.

 

My 20s vs. 30s!  Hands down, I pick my 30s!  Not only do I have 3 amazing kids but I have an even more amazing husband that has supported me throughout this journey.  My journey has just begun though!
